Hives, Laplante and Venditti Lead CT-33 to Gold

Jesse Hives competed at the MAC Fall Fest Invitational held in Markham capturing two meet records and an impressive collection of three gold, two silver and two bronze last weekend.

During the same weekend fellow T-Birds Ryan Venditti and Zeyana Laplante swam to gold as they led the CT-33 Thunderbirds at the NEOR developmental swim meet held at the Jeno Tihanyi Olympic Gold Pool in Sudbury.

Jenna Manning and Jacob Brost picked up silver in Sudbury while top eight finishes went to Jasmine Busschaert, Madison Whittet, Zaffia Laplante, Olivia Lyle, Jane Chirico, Tania Gagnon, Travis Allured, Evan Lechlitner and Leah Chirico.

Swimmers achieving best times were Sara Manning, Karyn Busch, Jaime Reynolds, Sarah Allured, Ryan Neilson, Michael Denomme and Kylie Manning.

For many T-Birds, the NEOR meet was their first competitive swim meet. Coaches Penny Lecour and Pierre Simard were thrilled with the progress each T-Bird achieved and they look forward to hosting the NEOR Developmental Meet #2 at CFB North Bay November 27th and 28th.
