The former Skyhawks and Barons forward finished 4.16 seconds behind the leader Lari Joutsenlhti from Finland.

Back in late December, Hewitt finished in the top 10 in a qualifier for the 2008 Red Bull Crashed Ice competition at the Lakeshore Memorial Arena in Toronto.

Hewitt and the rest of the competitors are displaying their skills on the 535 metre downhill course which can best be described as a combination of hockey, bordercross and downhill skiing through downtown Quebec City.
