TORONTO, ON. - Two members of the Gymtrix Trampoline Team competed at Ontario Championships this past weekend at Seneca College in Toronto. They previously obtained the qualifying score to move on to the championships.

Taylor Jones (Provincial C), a former Artistic competitor, finished her first season as a trampolinist in an impressive 9th place even after voiding her Optional routine when something went wrong and she stopped the exercise.

"Taylor would have likely made the podium had this not happened, but it did and we are now positively looking ahead to next year," said coach Bill Rhoads.

In the Provincial A category, Tabitha Gennoe placed 13th amongst an impressive group of athletes.

"This is Tabby's first year in the top provincial category and the skill expectation is much greater here," said Rhoads.

"The requirements call for double somersaults and multiple twisting which Tabby is now performing. These are tough skills and she is in a tough category. She did extremely well."

This marks the end of the regular season for Trampoline but the team will be attending an Invitational before the season is complete.
