Greco's Midget A Wins Gold

With “Cup Karma” on their side; the Greco’s Midget “A” hockey club took home the trophy after solid play through 6 games to win the Smiling M tournament in Timmins over this past weekend.

Greco’s snuck into the medal round after a must win in their final game of round robin play.

With a 3-2 victory in semi-final play over the Kapuskasing Timberwolves, the team advanced to the finals with another go at the equally strong Wawa Legionnaires.

Greco’s then dropped Wawa with a fast paced; 3-0 shut-out to win gold!

As an added bonus, the team had an opportunity to spend time with the Holy Grail of hockey; Lord Stanley’s Cup at the South Porcupine Bank of Nova Scotia before the team’s own cup-hosting Championship game.

Members of the team are: Greg Bourdon, Michael Brideau, Chad Butler, Nathan Cerilli, Alexander Chadbourne, Chris Cowan, Chad Gagnon, Andrew Gerolami, Greg Gravelle, Brent Griffith, Bronson Kent, Aaron Lamming, Devon Marson, Jeremy Poeta, Justin Taylor and Nicolas Tumino.

Coaching staff consists of: Heath Marson, Chris Marson, Martial Gerolami, Joe Bourdon, Bill Kent and Debbie Marson.
