The North Bay Y Norsemen and Valkyries Weightlifting clubs are hosting their third annual Father’s Day Silent Auction, with items on display in the front lobby of the YMCA starting at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

This year there are in excess of 100 articles up for auction. Items range from restaurant, food supplement, and beauty packages to outdoor furniture, electronic equipment, and children’s toys.

With Father’s Day falling on Sunday, many of the premium items are geared toward the male of the household. These include a baseball package from Play It Again Sports, a fishing package courtesy of Ray Hamilton, and a variety of World Cup soccer jerseys from Carmen Ricutti’s Tailoring and Men’s Wear. This year’s big ticket item is a Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh Penguins jersey, with a certificate of authenticity.

Items can be viewed, and bid on, up until the close of the auction at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
