Eurocamp Summer Stars reach quarterfinals in Ottawa

The Eurocamp Summmer Stars 98's competed this past weekend in the Ottawa Little Sens AAA tourney and went 3 wins and 1 loss in round robin play and advanced to the quarter finals.

Randy Edmonds, the Eurocamp Summer Stars program coordinator, believes this is a big step forward for the program as it has struggled in previous tournaments.

"The kids have worked real hard and they have had a real good coaching staff lead by Beau Moyer," said Edmonds.

"This is the first time the program has advanced to the playoff round at a spring tourney. There is progress and that is all we are interested in - that the kids are improving and learning. These first spring was a eye opener for everyone invloved and now we are moving forward."

The Eurocamp Summer Stars Team 99's will compete in Ottawa this weekend while Team 2000 is off to Toronto.
