Eurocamp Summer Stars defeat Team Michigan

PHILADELPHIA, PA. - The Eurocamp Summer Stars Team 2000 won their opening match in the One hockey.com in Philadelphia on Wednesday. The Stars beat Team Michigan 5-2 after being down 2-1 in late in the second period.

The Stars beat Team Michigan 5-2 after being down 2-1 in late in the second period.

North Bay's Zac Roy and Wahnapitae's Matty Mayhew split the goaltending duties in the win.

The line of Billy Moskal, (Sudbury), Damien Giroux (Valley East) and Lucas Edmonds (North Bay) were involved in 4 out of the 5 goals.

"We are happy with the effort and the win considering a 14 hr bus ride from Northern Ontario to Philadelphia arriving at the hotel at 9:00pm and playing a early 8 am game this morning," said coach and program founder Randy Edmonds.

Next game is scheduled at 7:45 Wednesday night against the New Jersey Titans.
