TIMMINS, ON - Timmins showed that it's a community that should house its own NOJHL team again as more than 1200 fans showed up at the McIntyre arena to watch Marc-Alain Begin pour in 4 goals and 1 assist to lead the Abitibi Eskimos to a 7-2 win over the North Bay Jr. A Trappers on Saturday night.

Jr. A Trappers head coach Ian Swalucynski was puzzled by this lack-luster performance.

"Everything you want for a hockey game as being the bad guy and we come out and lay an egg, and I don’t see how that’s possible. We are playing against Abitibi that should be motivation itself but obviously it wasn’t,"said Swalucynski.

"We didn’t move our feet and didn’t help either goalie out and a bad game on our part."

Josh Clancy, Michael Robert and Matt St. Jacques scored the other goals for the unbeaten Eskis.

Former Midget Trappers Adam Marceau and Darnell Koosees - who Swalucynski said had his best game of the year - scored for the Jr. Trappers who dropped a pair of road games this week starting with a 3-2 loss Wednesday to the Sudbury Jr. Wolves in Copper Cliff.
