Dragons fall in one game playoff

THESSALON, ON - The Powassan Dragons were cooled off 6-2 by the Algoma Avalanche in a one-game playoff, with the winner moving on to the Greater Metro Jr. A Hockey League quarter-finals. Justin Huycke and Will Laporte scored in Sunday's loss.

Rene Balazs, Mike Brunnetta, Luke Gjos, Thomas Stewart,
Bo boissonneault, and Mark Orazietti tickled the twine for the Avalanche.

Dragons Dutch goalkeeper Martjin Oosterwijk faced 57 in the loss.

The Dragons opted for a youth movement in their first season in Powassan, with former Widdifeld Wildcats forward and team captain Justin Huycke is the only player not eligible to return to the squad next season.
