Saturday, November 6, 2010 marks the last day to purchase Laurentian Ski Hill season passes and five pass cards at discounted rates.

“A Season Pass is a wonderful and affordable way to get the whole family out doors this winter. Laurentian Ski Hill is open 23 hours a week outside of school hours.” Said Kathy Wilcox, President, Laurentian Ski Hill and Snowboarding Club. “With a Season Pass there’s no standing in line, just head straight to the hill. The passes make great gifts and are an excellent opportunity for the kids to get off the couch.”

The hill is on track to open on December 18, 2010.

Staff have been busy preparing for the 2010/11 season including hill grooming and regular lift maintenance. All indications point to a snowy winter but the hill’s snowmaking system is ready to start producing snow once the cold weather hits.

New this year is the mandatory Terrain Park Pass. “This pass system is used at hills across Ontario as a safety initiative. Users are required to complete a safety lesson to ensure a fun and safe experience”, said Trish Pecore.

Rich Stivrins, operator of the Laurentian Cafe in the lower lodge said, “We’ll be open as usual to provide Laurentian Ski Hill customers and spectators with delicious food and drink and we are open when the hill is”.

The Laurentian Ski Hill sales counter is open: Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30pm.

Saturday, November 6, 2010, Laurentian Ski Hill is open from 9 am to 3 pm to accommodate last minute Season Pass purchases. A barbeque will take place from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.

Local merchants will also be on hand to assist with equipment and accessories.
