The 41st annual Canadore Athletics Luncheon took place on Monday.
Canadore Panthers volleyball player Jordane Blanchette was handed the Deam McCubbbin Memorial Athlete of the Year trophy.
Blanchette has been a major factor to the Panther women’s success this year. She is a quiet leader who leads her teammates through her play on the court. She is an extremely dependable player who is able to step up to the challenge in the most important games. She finished off the season as one of the leading statistics holders in the Western OCAA Division. (78 Games Played, 169 Kills, 13 Serving Aces, 145 Digs - equaling a total of 184 points overall.)
