The North Bay Hilltop Variety Blades came home Sunday after taking two of three road games this weekend from the Onaping Falls Huskies in a weekend series in Levack in Northern Ontario Bantam AAA Hockey League action.

On Saturday afternoon the Blades used six different goal scorers to double the Huskies 6-3. Mitchell Davis, Eric Langford, Roch Pellerin, Patrick Markert, Stephen Marleau, and Jean Seguin scored for the Blades.

On Saturday night the Huskies scored four times in the third period en route to a 7-2 victory over the Blades. Paul Lalonde and Tyler Poeta scored for the Blades in the loss.

In the rubber match on Sunday the Blades rebounded with a 3-2 win as Tyler Poeta scored with less than five minutes to play to break a 2-2 third period tie.

Stephen Marleau and Kevin Kosturik also scored in the win.

The pair of wins was a big confidence booster for the Blades who had registered only one victory in December and were 1-8 in their last nine regular season Northern Ontario Bantam AAA Hockey League games.
