Blades hand out awards

The North Bay Hilltop Variety Blades had there banquet Thursday night at the North Bay Golf and Country Club. The Northern Ontario Bantam 'AAA' finalists are coming off a break through season where they finished second in the regular season standings with 19 wins, 12 losses, 5 ties and 2 overtime losses.

Top Defencesman - Ryan Darbyson
Top Forward - Caleb Cameron
Most Improved - Ryan Scott
MVP - Scott Pawson
Coaches award - DJ Wainman

Blades Spring Tryouts

The Blades are already looking to the new year as they will be holding an information session and tryouts for the club.

The information session for all players born in 1994 and 1995 will take place on April 23rd at 7:00 p.m. at West Ferris arena.

The team will than hit the ice on Saturday, April 26th at 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Pete Palangio arena.

All players born in the years 1994 & 1995 are welcome but officials with the club say all interested players must be registered with West Ferris Minor Hockey before going on the ice.
