Blades fall to Wolves in semi's

NORTH BAY, ON - Anmar Sudbury Wolves put an end to the North Bay Blades season by sweeping the best of five semi-final series. The Wolves outscored the Blades 10-0 in game three to qualify for the finals.
NORTH BAY, ON - Anmar Sudbury Wolves put an end to the North Bay Blades season by sweeping the best of five semi-final series. The Wolves outscored the Blades 10-0 in game three to qualify for the finals.

Sudbury scored with 48 seconds remaining in the first period to grab a 1-0 lead. The Blades pushed hard late in the second period but Wolves goalie Joel Horodziejczyk was equal to the task.

The Wolves made it 2-0 early in the third period and tallied eight more times before the end of the period.

In other NOBHL AAA semi-final action the Soo Thunder defeated Nickel City Sons three games to one.

The Wolves will hold home ice advantage when they begin the best of five championship series March 6th against the Thunder. The winner will advance to the OHF All-Ontario Bantam AAA Championships March 22nd to 27th in Kanata, Ontario.
