The Soo Greyhounds completed their 3-game sweep in the best-of-five Northern Ontario Bantam AAA Hockey League semi-final with a close 3-1 win over the North Bay Hillop Variety Blades on Saturday night at West Ferris arena.

Brett Hargrave put the Blades on the board first as they took the 1-0 lead after 20 minutes. However, the Greyhounds responded in the middle frame with 3 unanswered goals including a pair from Luke McDonald to seal the victory and end the Blades season.

Last weekend the Greyhounds took a stranglehold lead with two wins on home ice. They snuck by the Blades 4-1 last Saturday night to take a 1-0 series lead, and then defeated the Blades in convincing fashion in game two Sunday morning by a score of 9-4.
