The St. Mary's Knights scored a touchdown on their first possession after a Bears fumble on the opening drive of the game and never looked back as the Sault Ste. Marie city champs demolished the St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears 50-0 at snowy Rocky DiPietro field Saturday afternoon in the Soo.

Despite the snowy conditions the Knights passed the ball at will against the Bears as Knights QB John Mullin went 22 for 28 in the air good for 342 yards and five touchdown passes.

Knights running back Jeff Greco ran for another score and hauled in a pair of touchdown passes in the blowout.

The Knights will move on to the NOSSA final as they host the Sudbury city champs next weekend.

Sports reporter Ken Hilderley, from BayToday.ca's sister site SooToday.com, said Bears head coach John Whittet did not make himself available for comment after the game.
