Kim Gibson hit a put-back lay-up at the buzzer to win the game for the Barons 48-46 over the Franco-Cité Patriotes in NDA Sr. Girls Basketball action. Catrine Trudel led the Barons scorers with 19 points, while Daphne Reynolds had 8 points.

The Patriotes were led by Lexi McKenzie with 14 points, while Jessie Bélanger hit for 8 points and France Louiseize 6.

The Barons were down 9-7 at the end of the first quarter; led at half 17-16 and by the start of the fourth they were up 32-31.

With two minutes remaining, the Barons were down 42-35 and Trudel and Reynolds hit back to back 3 pointers to pull the Barons to within 2 points. Catherine Sénécal tied the game with less than a minute remaining.

Bears demolish Trojans

In other NDA Sr. Girls action it was the St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears 53-17 over the Lady Trojans.
