The Nipissing Alouettes won their third game of the season in convincing fashion by a score of 8-2 over the visiting Douro Dukes. Cody Tourigny once again led the charge scoring twice while adding a helper. North Bay's Kory Clermont also scored twice for the Alouettes. Eugene Wabanosse, Mackenzie Charron, Andre Landry and Kory Cashaback added singles. DJ Champagne and Erik Bélanger each added three assists while Will Laporte had two.
Chris Lane scored both goals for the Dukes.
The Alouettes pounded Dukes goalie Jarod Secondo with 48 shots while Tristan Jones was solid in goal for the Alouettes making 19 saves for the win. With the win, the Alouettes move into a four way tie for third place in the GMHL standings. The team now gets ready to host the Toronto Canada Moose on Friday, September 28th at the Sturgeon Falls Arena. Game time is 8:00 p.m.
