Alouettes stomp on the Storm

The line of Mitchell Sullivan, Kory Cashaback and Guy Wallace dominated as the Nipissing Alouettes won their second straight, as they dropped the South Muskoka Shield 7-2 on Saturday night.

The trio combined for 11 points in the victory as Sullivan scored three times and had three assists, Wallace had three assists and Cashaback had a goal and an assist for the Alouettes.

Dominic Leveille was strong in net stopping 29 shots in the win. Rylan Henley had his second straight three point night, with one goal and two assists. Balazs Deifik also notched two goals.

The win brings the Alouettes record back to .500 at 12-12-4 in the GMHL standings. They remain in sixth spot, only one point behind the Toronto Canada Moose, and two points behind the Deseronto Thunder with three games in hand over both teams.

The Alouettes next home action comes Wednesday, January 10th when the Shield return to the Sturgeon Falls Arena. Game time is 8 p.m.
