Alouettes get weekend split

The Nipissing Alouettes went 1-1 on the weekend in two GMHL games in Southern and Central Ontario on the weekend. On Saturday night the Alouettes dropped a 5-3 decision to the King Wild in King City.

On Saturday night the Alouettes dropped a 5-3 decision to the King Wild in King City. Mitchell Sullivan scored twice while Paul DeLuca had the other Alouettes goal in the loss.

The Alouettes got back in the win column on Friday night as they slipped by the South Muskoka Shield 3-2 at the Gravenhurst Centennial Centre. Paul DeLuca, Stephane Belanger and Matt Lathem scored for the Alouettes while former Skyhawk goalie Dominic Leveille got his first win in his first start for the GMHL club.

The Alouettes are back on home ice on Friday night as they entertain the South Muskoka Shield. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at the Sturgeon Falls Community Centre.
