A win and a tie for Stingers

The North Bay Stingers played a doubleheader on Monday night. In their first game they scored in the bottom of the 7th inning to tie Carte Blanche Rotarians 2-2. Dan Falardeau and Dale Valade were in pitching duel for entire game.
The North Bay Stingers played a doubleheader on Monday night. In their first game they scored in the bottom of the 7th inning to tie Carte Blanche Rotarians 2-2. Dan Falardeau and Dale Valade were in pitching duel for entire game. The game remained scoreless till the 6th inning where Carte scored two unearned runs to take a 2-0 lead. The Stingers scored one in the 6th and tied it when Thomas Hamilton scored from second base on a Nick Scott bunt. Valade only gave up 3 hits and struck out 13 batters. Falardeau was equally impressive giving up 3 hits and striking out 9 hitters. Dale Valade had 2 hits for the Stingers.

In game 2 the Stingers beat Sturgeon Falls 9-5. Jake Tougas was the winning pitcher going the distance giving up 4 hits and striking out 6 batters. Fike was charged with the loss. Valade and Tyler Besner had key doubles to help the Stingers take the lead in the fifth. Other hits for the Stingers were from Brad Berube, Nick Scott, Chris Kangur, and Miguel Champagne. Denis Gauthier had 2 hits for the Builders.
