The Temiscaming Royals battled back from a 5-2 2nd period deficit to defeat the Sudbury Jr. Wolves 6-5 at the Centre Friday night.

The Jr. Wolves built a 2-0 lead after 1 period and had the 5-2 lead midway through the game. Royals goalie Jim Murray was replaced by Guillaume Piche near the midway point of the second after the Philadelphia native allowed 5 goals on 20 shots.

Piche went the rest of the way stopping all 17 shots he faced for the win.

Cedric Boutin led the Royals offence with 1 goal and 2 assists. Corey Raymond, Tyler Stevenson, Jeff Lobman, Stephan Gunner and Rylan Gull-Chum had the other goals for the Royals who improve to 14-23-4 on the season.

Erik Belanger and Chris Kangas had 2 goals each for the Jr. Wolves.

The Royals are back on the ice Saturday night as they visit the Abitibi Eskimos.
