A new Hockeyville champion

A third plaque has been mounted on the Kraft Hockeyville trophy. The Village sur Glace de Roberval, Quebec was officially named Kraft Hockeyville 2008 during the Hockey Night in Canada Playoff Preview show Tuesday night on CBC.

The Village sur Glace de Roberval, Quebec was officially named Kraft Hockeyville 2008 during the Hockey Night in Canada Playoff Preview show Tuesday night on CBC.

Roberval wins $100,000 towards an arena upgrade plus they will host an NHL pre-season game in late September between the Buffalo Sabres and Montreal Canadiens.

Kingsville, Ontario finished second overall in 2008.

North Bay captured the title last year on March 17th beating out second place Cornwall, Ontario by more than 13,000 votes.

The city hosted an NHL game between the New York Islanders and Atlanta Thrashers on September 17th, 2007.

Salmon River, Nova Scotia was named Kraft Hockeyville 2006 in the competition's inaugural season.
