2009 Challenge Cup Novice Champions

The North Bay A & W Novice hockey team claimed gold by scoring the game winner with 50.8 seconds remaining in the championship game in the 2009 Challenge Cup which took place on the weekend.

Going 4-0 through the round robin they played the hardest game of the year against North Bays Knights of Columbus in the Gold Metal Final squeaking out a 1-0 victory. Team members include front left: Rejean Guenette, Isaac Collins, Connor Russo, Gabriel Campoverde, Hunter Connor, Nicholas Baldasaro, Owen Pearson, Blake Langlois (Tournament MVP), Brayden Campbell, Liam Currie, Joshua Thibeault, Max Kerrigan, Marcus White, Ethan Ethier, Zachary Evans. Coaches include: Glen Langlois, Dan Russo and Shane White.
