Unwanted person leads to charges
MATTAWA - On the Apr. 8, 2017 at 3:47 p.m. Mattawa Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a residence in Calvin Township in regards to an unwanted person. A 22-year-old female from East Ferris Township was charged with 2 counts of assault contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on May 10, 2017 in Mattawa.
Driver charged with over 80
On Apr. 9, 2017 at 1:34 a.m. North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 11/17 bypass near Seymour St. in the City of North Bay. The male driver of the vehicle, Geoffrey Wilson, 36 of Nipissing First Nation was charged with drive over 80 contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on Apr. 25, 2017.
