North Bay OPP is investigating two incidents of damaged mail boxes in the area of 1262 Highway 94 in East Ferris.

Sometime overnight on Sun. Feb.8 and Mon.Feb. 9, culprits toppled two mail boxes on Highway 94. The mail boxes were broken at the posts.

These are not the first incidents of this nature. Periodically, the North Bay OPP have investigated similar complaints of damaged mail boxes in the past. Rural residents rely on receiving the mail in a road side mail box. Many of these are custom made to beautify their property. People have placed great pride in customizing their mail boxes, and take it as an insult when victimized by some prankster demolishing it. Police are continuing their investigation in this incident.
