POLICING FOR RESULTS
How is the OPP doing in your community?

(North Bay, Ontario):
The North Bay, Mattawa and Powassan OPP detachment cluster has started conducting the Policing For Results (PFR) telephone survey. As of this past Monday (March 23rd, 2004), and continuing over the next two months, volunteers from the detachment cluster will be calling your home at random, asking you various questions about our service in your area. This is an opportunity for you to voice your concerns and give us your perception on the quality of service we are delivering.

Volunteers will enter the results into a software program. The results are compiled into a package that will provide vital feedback from you that will be a gauge for the OPP to determine what the concerns and priorities are in your community for the next two years.

Detachment Commander Staff Sergeant Rob McDonald outlines the importance of you and your community participating in this survey: “In keeping with our commitment to provide ‘Safe Communities – A Secure Ontario’, the survey gives us an indication of where we can improve our efforts in order to provide the best service possible in your community”

Volunteers will be calling you sometime between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. seven days a week and the survey should only take approximately 10 minutes. Phone numbers are chosen at random by a computer and the subject matter covers all aspects of policing including some of the local programs that are offered.
