SCHOOL IS OUT FOR CHRISTMAS

The North Bay, Mattawa and Powassan children will leave early from school this Friday which marks the start of, for many, a week of travel, visiting and celebration.
Our children will be playing outside and motorists have an added responsibility to watch for excited youth.
Drivers will have to use extra care to deal with poor road and weather conditions.

With an increase in vigilance and advanced planning, tragedies can be avoided.

The OPP would like to remind all of you to take the time to consider how you are going to reach your destination, allow for increased traffic, changing weather and inconsiderate motorists.

Make sure this holiday season is remembered for the happiness of family, especially the children, and not the tragedy of loss.
