On January 8, 2017 at approximately 9:50 a.m., members of the North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Calvin Township Fire and Emergency Services responded to a two vehicle collision

On Jan. 8, 2017 at approximately 9:50 a.m., members of the North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Calvin Township Fire and Emergency Services responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 630 and Homestead Road, Calvin Township.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a northbound car was struck by a westbound car. Three occupants of the northbound car, a 42-year-old female and two kids ages 9 and 12, were taken to a local hospital where they were treated and released. The single occupant of the westbound car, a 21-year-old male, was also taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Highway 630 was closed for approximately 6 hours while the OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) completed their preliminary investigation. Investigation is ongoing.
