Update: Fourth and final suspect in custody for home invasion

Members with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) North Bay Detachment and the Crime Unit continue their investigation in the August 30th home invasion in Redbridge. On September 2, 2015, a province wide arrest warrant was issued for Karl BELANGER, age 27, of North Bay, for his involvement in the home invasion.

The accused turned himself into North Bay OPP on September 3, 2015, where he was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Robbery Using Firearm, section 344(1)(a)(1) of the Criminal Code (CC);
  • Pointing a Firearm, section 87 CC;
  • Break, Enter Dwelling House - Commit Indictable Offence, section 348(1)(b) CC; Disguise With Intent, section 351(2) CC.

He remains in custody and held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on September 4, 2015.
