Driver faces cannabis, speeding charges

Another motorist has been caught having pot "readily available."

Just after noon on Dec. 13, OPP officers caught a speeder on Highway 69 in the Municipality of French River. 

During the investigation the officer determined that cannabis was readily available to the driver.

Errol Kokbas, 29, of Byng Inlet, has been charged with:

  • Possession of over 30g of dried cannabis or equivalent in a public place
  • Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available,
  • Speeding 1-49km/h over the posted limit,

The suspected cannabis resin was seized by police.
