BUFFALO, N.Y. — Rather than lament another moral victory, Buffalo Sabres captain Jack Eichel was able to enjoy an actual one that counts in the standings.

BOSTON — The Boston Bruins needed someone to replace David Pastrnak's production while their leading scorer recovers from thumb surgery. For one night, at least, they found the solution: just about everyone.
