Your art on a greeting card? Could happen!

Ontario Greeting Card Company seeks Canadian artists for Canada150 project
Canada-Arts-Project 2017

To celebrate Canada's 150th, the Oshawa-based Tree-Free Greeting Cards Canada hopes to launch a new line of designs this fall, exclusively using works by Canadian artisans.

"Tree-Free greeting cards are already proudly printed in Canada but we didn't want to stop there" explains spokesman Brian Heiler in a news release. "The next logical step is to embrace the incredibly rich arts community we have here and promote it."

Artists are encouraged to submit works that they feel would make an ideal greeting card or designs they feel express what it is to be Canadian.

Works that are chosen for the line will be paid royalties, credited on the finished cards themselves and promoted in upcoming promotional materials, as well as being available for sale at thousands of retailers across the country in 2018.

Artists looking to submit their works can find more information at tree-free.ca.

Tree-Free greetings is a 100% Canadian made greeting card line that is printed on eco-friendly materials using vegetable inks.
