There will be a yard sale fundraiser for mental health on Saturday at 196 Littledown Lane.
The event is with the national Defeat Depression campaign raising money for the Mood Disorders Society of Canada and helping to reduce the stigma of mental illness.
The event is through the national Defeat Depression campaign.
Defeat Depression is a campaign aimed toward reducing the stigma around mental health and getting people together to talk about it. At the same time, it raises money for the Mood Disorders Society of Canada which provides resources for people battling with mental illness.
Though it is taking place at a family member's home, the event is more than an average yard sale.
There will be a bake sale, face painting, lemonade, as well as information on the campaign and mental illness in general.
The event will serve as a way to educate the community on the effects of mental health.
