Work starts on Lee park playground

The new playground will include wide ramps, large decks, and specialized accessible swings, seesaws, and spinners

City workers were busy in Lee Park this morning as an old playground structure was demolished to make way for a new one.

The newer section will also be removed but will be put to use somewhere else in the city.

The playground is closed as work to install a new accessible and age-friendly structure gets underway.

The City of North Bay has partnered with the Kiwanis Club on the project, which is expected to be completed by October.

The new playground will include wide ramps, large decks, and specialized accessible swings, seesaws, and spinners.
