The Algonquin Barons track and field team continued a successful season with a 2nd place finish at the NDA track and field championships at Northern Secondary School last week. The Barons earned top honours in the midget girls and junior boys categories. They finished the day with 35 NDA champions in individual and relay events
NDA Champions include:

Josee Rochon 1st place midget girls 100m, saut en longeur, triple saut, 4x100 relay
Taylor Vaillancourt 1st place junior girls 200m, 80m Hurdles et 300m Hurdles  (nouveau record)
Mikell Blain-Rogers 1st place senior boys 1500m and 3000m
Emma Caruso 1st place midget girls 3000m, 4 x 100m relay
Yannic Castonguay - 1st place junior boys 100m, 4 x 100m relay
Jon Champagne - 1st place junior boys 100m Haies, 4 x 100m relay
Phil Coutu - 1st place junior boys long jump and triple jump
Megan Cruickshank - 1st place senior girls 1500m and 3000m
Makayla Denommee - 1st place midget girls 200m, 4 x 100m relay
Sophie Laperriere - 1st place midget girls 1500m, 4 x 100m relay
Riley Desjardins - 1st place midget boys long jump, 4 x 100m relay
Tye Lindeman -1st place midget boys 800m, 4 x 100m relay
Derrick Bassa - 1st place junior boys 300m Hurdles
