The Armed Forces Day will have another local twist as Hidden Roots Collective has been added to the June 17th activities at the North Bay Waterfront stage at 7 p.m.

"From humble beginnings as a singer-songwriter circle, four Northern Ontario musicians come together to embark on a journey driven by an undeniable musical connection," says a news release. "With swirling harmonies as tall as the pines of their hometown, Hidden Roots Collective creates an immersive listening experience. Their thoughtful arrangements and unique vocal stylings have captivated listeners across Eastern Canada.

"Exploring genres of folk, jazz, and alternative ethereal, there is an audience for every track on their debut-album, ‘Come Up, Honey’. Covering themes of love, loss and self-discovery, the album intertwines the lives and narratives of four women: Annie Sumi, Holly Cunningham, Brigitte Lebel, and Rose-Erin Stokes."

The group joins local country star, Cory Marquardt and headliners Lighthouse.
