NORTH BAY, ON. – The Rotaract Club of North Bay–Nipissing is hosting their 4thAnnual Lightly Loved Literature and Toy Sale supporting L.I.P.I. (Low Income People Involvement of Nipissing) Saturday May 9th, 2015 from 10-4pm at the North Bay Mall, No Frills Entrance.
Over the last few weeks the Rotaract Club has been collecting books generously donated by community members. A selection of soft and hard covered children’s books and novels will be available with prices ranging from 1-2 dollars per book or 10 dollars to fill a grocery bag. This year, there will also be new summer toys for sale, prices will vary.
The Literature Sale encourages children and adults to enjoy a book or toy while contributing to an excellent cause, as ALL funds collected go directly to the Low Income People Involvement of Nipissing.
Low Income People Involvement of Nipissing is a Non-Profit Charitable organization that assists low income and vulnerable individuals and families with a menu of services in order to prevent homelessness, stabilize those at risk of homelessness, assist those that are homeless and provide community engagement opportunities that strengthen household stability.
To-date, the Rotaract Club of North Bay - Nipissing has raised and donated close to $5000 to community organizations through the Literature Sale.
Donations for the book sale are accepted at the L.I.P.I. office 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at 127 Main Street East, until Friday May 8th 2015. Donations include children’s books or novels only.
