North Bay — The Temagami area’s leading voice for conservation and ecotourism will host their annual meeting this Saturday at Smoothwater Lodge in Temagami. Everyone is welcome. The event starts at 9 a.m.and lasts all day. Meals and accommodation are available.
This year’s guest speaker is writer and outdoor advocate Preston Ciere. Preston’s stories of backcountry adventure inspire others to embark on their own. His website, portageur.ca, features stories, ideas, and resources for those wanting to find their own connection to nature. If you are unable to come all day, you can come just for the guest speaker. Preston’s talk starts at 7:30 p.m.
