Following too closely draws police attention

They stopped a vehicle for following too closely.

The Almaguin Highlands OPP was patrolling Highway 11, Armour Township on Friday January 13, at approximately 6 p.m. when they stopped a vehicle for following too closely. 

Police conducted an investigation and the driver of the vehicle, Wilma Wittman, 56 of Machar Township was subsequently arrested for:

  • refusal to provide a breath sample, and
  • drive motor vehicle with open container of liquor, 

The accused was released from police custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday February 23, 2017 in Sundridge.
