Monday July 27th, 2015

The “Empire Elves” (our residents, staff and volunteers) are pleased to confirm that the local Salvation Army has a $2,025 head start on its kettle campaign for 2015.  Over 200 people attended the “Christmas (Eve) in July” lunch fundraiser on Friday, July 24th.  Everyone from young children to simply the young-at-heart enjoyed seeing the Empress Ballroom turned into winter wonderland for the day.

That evening approximately 40 residents, friends, and family continued the goodwill by paying $10 each to see a tribute artist perform 50`s and 60`s classics and Christmas hits from Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, and Roy Orbison.

Thank you to all who attended and to the media as well, for helping to spread the word about the first-time event at The Empire.
