East Ferris is getting a $34,750 Fednor grant to upgrade its St. Charles Public tennis courts.
The funding will be used to remove existing materials, complete site preparations, install new asphalt and upgrade the courts with an acrylic surface.
The project will enable the community to also install new posts, netting and fencing, as well as the design area to accommodate both tennis and pickleball.
"It is critical that East Ferris has safe and modern recreational facilities that are available to all citizens and this funding will help us achieve that goal," commented
