(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On June 8, 2015, the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were patrolling Highway 69 in Carling Township. At approximately 10:34 p.m. police conducted a traffic stop on a southbound car that was observed travelling at a high rate of speed. Police investigation and a search of the vehicle led to the seizure of cocaine, cannabis marihuana and drug paraphernalia.
The driver, Andrew PEACOCK, 25 years of age from Valley East, was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance – Cocaine as per the Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA).
· Possession of a Schedule III Substance– as per the CDSA.
The accused was released and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on July 9, 2015.
