On Friday at approximately 2:20 p.m., North Bay OPP officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 17, in North Bay, for a licence plate that had been expired since 2010.
Police began an investigation into the driver and the vehicle. The driver, Justin Thomas, 27, of Mattawa, was charged with:
- Driving while disqualified - court order
- Fail to comply with a probation order
- Use plate not authorized for vehicle and
- Operate unsafe vehicle contrary
Thomas was released on a Promise to Appear and Part III Summons with a date to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay, Ontario, on June 12.
