On Wednesday, July 5th, The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound Inc. partners with Staples to host its 9th Annual Summer Company Tradeshow.
According to a news release, the event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Staples, 1899 Algonquin Avenue.
The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that provides support for the start-up and expansion of small enterprises in the Nipissing and Parry Sound regions.
"Our Summer Company Program which is funded by the province of Ontario promotes youth entrepreneurship by providing funding of up to $3,000 to students between the ages of 15 and 29 to start-up and run a business for the summer. This year 15 young entrepreneurs were funded to operate their business ventures, some of which include a graphic designer, bicycle repair shop, photography services, a dance studio, dog care, and drone services."
The tradeshow gives students community exposure and experience marketing and selling their products and services. The event is open to the public free of charge and we appreciate the public’s support is helping us to provide this learning experience for our young entrepreneurs.
