Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne came to North Bay on Wednesday morning to present a local business with funds to help innovate their company.

Wynne announced that she was awarding Drillers Edge, a Canadian based manufacturer of core drilling tools, $600,000 to support mineral exploration in the North.

During a media scrum, talk quickly turned to the ONTC divestment and to the now defunct Ring of Fire project.

Wynne addressed all of these issues, including the environmental impacts that the Ring of Fire could produce, should exploration and mining activities in the area resume.
