A man that pulled a knife on a pair of strangers faces weapons charges today.
Police say someone called 911 to report an unknown man with a knife on Sunday afternoon,
They say that on Sunday April 10th, at approximately 3:25 p.m., a man on foot approached two pedestrians on the 600 block of Cassells Street, pulled out a knife and showed it to them.
The two fled the area unharmed.
Police found the man on Cassells Street shortly thereafter, arrested and searched him and seized a 6” blade kitchen knife as evidence.
Charged is a 28-year old North Bay man:
- one count of possession of weapon for dangerous purpose;
- one count of carrying concealed weapon; and
- one count of breach of probation.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
