Your Mattawa Voyageur Days Committee is already hard at work planning the 2008 Mattawa Voyageur Days Festival. Plan to attend July 24 – 27, 2008 as we celebrate the 11th consecutive year of providing top-notch professional entertainment. As of today, the line-up for Saturday’s Rock Where the Rivers Meet will see, The Stampeders, The Headpins, Lee Aaron and headlining Lou Gramm lead singer of Foreigner!!!.

Sunday’s, Blues Rock Night has been solidified seeing Pat Travers & Jeff Healey closing out the festival. Friday’s Country Rock Night entertainment acts are being negotiated as we speak. Thursday will showcase the talent our community and region have to offer. “The Committee is extremely pleased to once again bring you a top notch entertainment package. And we are not even done yet” said Jacques Begin, Co-chair Mattawa Voyageur Days.

The Committee is not stopping there adding activities for all ages. Each year, the Committee looks at expanding what we have to offer the children, this year expect to see Timmins Park come to life while hosting Kidz Zone 2008. When all is said and done, we plan to reach the sky with some of the best-choreographed fireworks ever experienced in Northern Ontario.

Make your vacation plans today by marking July 24-27, 2007 on your calendars and don’t forget to buy your wristbands. Wristbands will be on sale starting December 3, 2007 for only $25.00 making for an excellent Christmas Gift or stocking stuffer.
