Transport crosses Highway 17, crashes through guardrail, lands in man's front yard

The passenger had minor ankle injuries, and the driver was uninjured

Corbeil resident Jack Doherty got a surprise early this morning when a transport truck crossed Highway 17 West, crashed through a wire guardrail, went down a ditch, and landed in his front yard.

The accident took place in Corbeil 2 km east of Highway 94 this morning at 6:30.

Doherty tells BayToday there were no traffic disruptions other than tow trucks and construction trucks arriving and leaving.

"The passenger had minor ankle injuries, and the driver was uninjured," he reports.

The truck had BC plates.
