International Children’s Awareness (ICA) is a charity organisation founded in the Bay 15 years ago by Ed Smith and is dedicated to sending items (medical and educational equipment) overseas several times a year.

International Children’s Awareness (ICA) is a charity organisation founded in the Bay 15 years ago by Ed Smith and is dedicated to sending items (medical and educational equipment) overseas several times a year.

The group is currently working on a project titled ‘Tools for Schools’ and went to the public at Northgate Shopping Centre this weekend asking for donations of old tools.

ICA built a school in Lewoh Cameroon back in 1993-94, since that time the government has built a new high school making the ICA school redundant. Instead of allowing the school to sit idle, the ICA crew have decided to turn the facility into a school of trade, and they need tools in order to accomplish the goal.

The effort is ongoing and the group is looking for hand and power tools, however, all donations are welcomed.To arrange pickup or delivery folks can call 475-0384.
